No matter what recruiting service at which you look, the SEC has as many as 10 programs in the top-25 and seven in the top-14 of the 2015 rankings.

While you may or may not put a lot of stock into rankings, there’s no question the SEC recruits better than any other conference in the country.

With National Signing Day less than a month away, Saturday Down South looks at the top 20 prospects at each position group and how many will or could play for SEC teams in 2015.

Editor’s Note: Below is a list of the consensus top 20 cornerbacks across all three major recruiting services: 247Sports, Rivals and Scout.

Cornerbacks: The cornerback class is filled with athletic playmakers. However, just 20 percent of the class is currently heading to an SEC program.

Uncommitted Targets: The recruitment of several prospects on the list below is ongoing, and numerous SEC programs could land these prized targets.

Top 20 cornerbacks

1. Iman Marshall, uncommitted — The nation’s top cornerback impressed during last week’s Under Armour festivities. Previously thought to stay home in southern California, Auburn has suddenly inserted itself into the conversation to land the five-star.

2. Kevin Toliver II, LSU — Despite who LSU hires as its next defensive coordinator, Toliver will be an instant impact player for the Bayou Bengals in 2015.

3. Kendall Sheffield, Alabama — Sheffield committed to the Crimson Tide during the Under Armour All-America Game and has bright future in Tuscaloosa.

4. Tarvarus McFadden, Florida State — At 6-foot-2, 198-pounds, McFadden needs to put on some weight upon his arrival in Tallahassee. The American Heritage star is a huge get for the Seminoles, however.

5. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama — Fitzpatrick was arguably the most impressive prospect of the week during the Under Armour showcase. The New Jersey native has the upside of a lockdown corner in the SEC.

6. Isaiah Langley, USC — Langley’s undersized at just 5-foot-11.5, 161-pounds, but possesses a knack for making plays on the ball.

7. DeChaun Holiday, uncommitted — The No. 12-rated player in the state of California, Holiday is expected to land in the Pac-12.

8. Mark Fields, uncommitted — Once a South Carolina commit, Fields has since decommitted from the Gamecocks. The four-star is considering LSU and Georgia, but it’s believed he’ll go to Clemson.

9. Eric Glover-Williams, Ohio State — Glover-Williams makes plays, and he’ll do just that for an Ohio State defense consistently reloading with superior athleticism. Glover-Williams’ commitment is no different.

10. Kris Boyd, uncommitted — A two-way player in high school, Boyd is expected to play cornerback full-time in college. The Gilmer, Texas native is choosing between a variety of programs including Texas A&M, Alabama, Baylor, Texas and Florida State.

11. Holton Hill, uncommitted — Hill’s a big, talented cornerback and special teams player. He’s deliberating between Baylor, Texas, LSU, Florida State and Alabama.

12. Tyrek Cole, West Virginia — The Mountaineers pick up a speedster, but a player whose cornerback skills need to be refined. The upside is there for Cole to star for Dana Holgerson.

13. Ykili Ross, USC — Ross is a good size to play cornerback — just taller than 6-foot, 175-pounds — but it’s unknown whether he can have an impact right away for the Trojans.

14. Shaun Crawford, Notre Dame — Crawford is undersized at just 5-foot-9.5, but has good instincts of how to play cornerback. He’ll be a great addition to Brian VanGorder’s defense.

15. John Reid, Penn State — Reid’s the top cornerback in the state of Pennsylvania who could make his presence felt early for the Nitty Lions.

16. PJ Mbanasor, Oklahoma — The four-star is a solid prospect who could have a chance to play early in 2015 on Mike Stoops’ defense.

17. Eric Lee, Nebraska — The top-ranked cornerback in the state of Colorado is a big commitment for new Cornhuskers coach Mike Riley.

18. Rico McGraw, Alabama — The Nashville, Tenn., native makes three top-20 cornerbacks for Kirby Smart’s Tide defense.

19. Frank Buncom IV, uncommitted — The only SEC program in the running for the San Diego, Calif., is Vanderbilt.

20. Donte Jackson, uncommitted — Jackson has incredible closing speed likely will end up in the SEC, at either Georgia or LSU but reportedly also has interest in USC.
