National Signing Day is on Feb. 4 and the SEC is primed to bring in another impressive haul of top recruits in the 2015 recruiting class.

In the next 25 days, Saturday Down South counts down the top 25 recruits either committed to the SEC or strongly considering SEC schools.

No. 6 CeCe Jefferson

Position: Defensive End
247Sports ranking: No. 7 overall; No. 4 overall in Florida
Committed: Looking at Ole Miss, Florida, Alabama and Auburn

The skinny: CeCe Jefferson was flat out dominant in high school, but he injured his shoulder in September and missed the rest of his senior season. Jefferson was just bigger, stronger and more talented than players in high school, and he’ll be just as good at the college level, although just not as dominant. Jefferson was thought to be a Gator lock, but Ole Miss seems to be trending up in a big way ever since Will Muschamp was fired at Florida. Alabama and Auburn are still in the mix, but they trail the Gators and Rebels. Could Jefferson spurn the Gators and actually sign with Ole Miss? Signing day will be very interesting.

Freshman projection: Jefferson will immediately jump into the rotation along any defensive line, even Ole Miss’. Jefferson may not be that big of a dominant pass rusher in college, but he’ll certainly push around and move offensive linemen and make many tackles at his position. He’s played end and tackle in high school, but he will play exclusively end at the next level, but it won’t be a rush end. Jefferson is simply too talented to keep off the field, no matter how stacked any defensive line may be.
