Charlie Strong and USF got off to an embarrassing start to the season Friday night.

The Wisconsin Badgers utterly destroyed the Bulls in Tampa 49-0. The Badgers racked up an impressive 433 yards and held USF to an awful 157 yards.

At one point in the third quarter down 35-0, Strong and the Bulls attempted a fake punt that almost ended in a decapitation for his poor punter.

South Florida also attempted a 43-yard field goal with two minutes left to play to avoid a shutout and missed it.

The 49-point loss was the worst loss in Strong’s head coaching career. Just midway through last season in Tampa, Strong was an impressive 16-2. Now, USF has lost seven straight games dating back to last year, the worst streak in school history.
