Many analysts around the country are dropping Clemson in their rankings following the Tigers’ narrow escape vs. North Carolina on Saturday.

Would it surprise you if I told you former Florida State QB Danny Kanell was not one of those analysts?

In response to ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky questioning Kanell’s rankings, he replied that Clemson will be No. 1 until it takes a loss:

In his post-Week 1 rankings, Kanell justified leaving Georgia out of his top 8 because he didn’t think they impressed against Vanderbilt. Now, he’s saying that a team can’t drop in his rankings unless it loses.
