With Week 10 in the books, ESPN Analytics has updated its rankings models. The Football Power Index (FPI) has processed Saturday’s games and updated its top 25 teams.

ESPN Analytics defines the FPI as a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. When it comes to rankings, the FPI is consistently unpredictable. The Week 11 rankings follow through on that front.

Alabama’s 42-28 victory over LSU was one of its most impressive wins of the season. ESPN’s computers were not impressed. The FPI dropped Alabama from No. 3 to No. 5 in its new rankings. The FPI’s current top 4 teams are Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State.

Georgia is now 1 win away from clinching the SEC East after a 30-21 win over Mizzou. Saturday’s win did not move the needle for ESPN Analytics, as UGA remains No. 6 in the FPI top 25.

Interestingly, the FPI did not drop LSU or Texas A&M for picking up their latest losses. Here’s the updated top 25:
