Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson is one of the best running backs in the country this year, and has been on a tear as of late.

In fact, Johnson can probably work his way into the Heisman conversation if he has a big game against No. 1 Alabama on Saturday. That’s easier said than done, obviously, but the best players rise to the occasion in the biggest situations.

During his Wednesday night radio show, Alabama coach Nick Saban gave a lot of credit to Johnson, saying he’s one of the best players in the SEC and adding that his defense will have its hands full stopping him on Saturday:

Johnson ran through the Georgia defense earlier this year and has looked good in every game he’s played since missing the first couple of games with an injury.

However, it’s tough to run against Saban’s disciplined defense, so Johnson will face his toughest test of the year, too.

See if Johnson can keep up his high level of play on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on CBS.
