Coaching in the SEC isn’t easy, especially as teams like Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Auburn continue to dominate the standings every year.

However, there have been some questionable coaching hires in recent years that haven’t made things easier for some SEC schools.

Among the seven Power 5 coaches with the worst records in conference play since 2013 are three SEC coaches — Arkansas’s Bret Beilema, Kentucky’s Mark Stoops and Tennessee’s Butch Jones:

Bielema and Stoops have struggled, to be sure, but their programs are heading in opposite directions at the moment, as Arkansas is imploding and Kentucky appears to be on the rise.

Making matters worse for Jones at Tennessee is the fact that, among the seven coaches listed, he consistently has the highest-rated recruiting classes:

All those coaches are on the hot seat, but Stoops may be coaching his way off of it this year.

There’s still a long way to go, but if these coaches don’t change the above records soon, they may not be around at their schools much longer.
