WATCH: Did officials miss a Mizzou cheap shot on Jake Fromm?
The officiating in the Georgia-Missouri has given fans lots to talk about on Saturday. Add a non-call to the list.
On a second-down run in the fourth quarter, Georgia QB Jake Fromm acted like he still had the ball to sell the Mizzou defense on the fake. Tigers DE Tre Williams went ahead and hit Fromm as if he were holding the ball.
ESPN broadcaster Brian Griese called it a “cheap shot” by Williams. Griese, of course, was watching the play through the eyes of a (former) quarterback.
It’s a non-call that gave MU some life. UGA’s drive would stall out and the Bulldogs ended up attempting a field goal, which was blocked. A penalty on Williams would have obviously resulted in a first down.
Yet no penalty? Look at the red staring at Fromm the whole time. @SEC pic.twitter.com/6mDLL0YQvD

Not surprisingly, many on Twitter were unhappy.
😡😡😡🤬🤬 @SEC might need to get your refs in check! We can’t even accidentally touch the precious Drew Lock but they can do this to Fromm?! #Pitiful https://t.co/2A2cVcLhgt
