ESPN ‘lost their cameras’ in the late Pac-12 game
Pac-12 After Dark has a cult following on Twitter, as crazy things often happen when most of the East Coast audience goes to bed.
That was the case on Saturday night, as the Pac-12 After Dark game literally went dark for a while.
As you can see below, the ESPN broadcast of the game lost its cameras for a while during the game:

That led broadcasters Dave Flemming and Rod Gilmore basically doing radio play-by-play for the audience during a Utah drive:

In the live TV industry, you have to be able to roll with the punches, and Flemming and Gilmore did a good job of that.
This isn’t the first time there have been camera-related controversies this year in Pac-12 After Dark. Last week, there weren’t enough cameras to properly review a crucial late-game spot in the Oregon State-Washington game.
Get it together, Pac-12!
