Clark Lea’s Vanderbilt program just secured a huge win on the recruiting trail as former Notre Dame commit Darren Agu just announced his pledge to join the Commodore program.

Agu decommitted from the Fighting Irish this week. Following his commitment to Lea’s program, Agu is now the highest-rated prospect currently committed to Vanderbilt.

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School standout is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 24 edge defender and the No. 44 overall prospect from the state of Georgia in the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Following this news, Vanderbilt currently holds commitments from 17 total prospects in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

During his junior season, the Rabun Gap, Ga., native played both sides of the ball for Nacoochee but look for him to start his college career as a pass rusher for the Commodores.
