Urban Meyer was with the FOX Big Noon Kickoff crew during the network’s pregame coverage of Ohio State-Indiana.

However, the former Florida and Ohio State head coach wasn’t at the desk with Rob Stone, Reggie Bush, Brady Quinn, and Matt Leinart during halftime of the game between the Buckeyes and Hoosiers. Per Stone, Meyer was feeling “under the weather”, leading to his absence.

While the circumstances didn’t seem serious, Meyer was obviously unable to push through to the halftime break and needed to leave early. We’ll see if FOX releases any updates after the game as to his status and overall health.

It’s not the first time this year a FOX broadcaster has had to leave early due to illness. Gus Johnson, the network’s lead college football play-by-play man, missed the latter stages of the 1st half and all of the 2nd half of Oklahoma-Nebraska on Sept. 17, with partner Joel Klatt handling the rest of the game solo.

As for Saturday’s game, Ryan Day’s team appears to be on its way to a 10-0 record against an Indiana squad that came into Columbus on a 6-game losing streak. The Buckeyes led 28-7 at halftime.
