That was last year......isn't this about this year's teams? Probably shouldn't even publish this so early as folks get all worked up. These rankings will make a lot more sense after 3-4 weeks of play.
How many 5 star QBs does one team need anyway? Nice problem to have, but only 1 can play at a time (unless they create a flex position).
You can thank Kirby's insistence on playing with "physicality" for several of those penalties. I think there were 3 facemasks alone, with one guy ripping the helmet clean off of one Auburn player on a punt return. Kirby was probably over-preaching it that entire week of practice. I only saw 2 penalties that were suspect. The UGA chop block and the late hit call on AU late in the game.
I think Kirby's to blame for the Dawg penalties. He over-stressed "physicality" all week leading up to the game, so no wonder that they were trying to rip the helmets off of the AU players. What was it....3 facemask penalties alone?
That 54 yarder would have been good from 64 yards out! Wow, what a leg!!
UGA has been fortunate this year with the injury bug at RB. Would have liked for Pettway & Johnson to match up against Chubb & Michel for this one.
Better mix in a lot of passing too or UGA loses this game.
I agree. It's a shame we can't keep both Johnson & Pettway healthy at the same time. Talk about a 1-2 punch. We saw a glimpse of that against the Hawgs, but then we find out about Pettway's injury. UGA should be thankful they've been able to keep Chubb & Michel healthy all season.
Your DBs played a solid game after Q1........ours seemed to be daydreaming half the time, especially when Etling hit those big plays! Thought our DL and LB group played really well, but the speed sweeps and big pass plays exposed our secondary.
Instead of supporting a young guy with his decision, you come in with your bashing. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself.
You don't even play for a championship game if you're wasting talent.
So the theme is "rejection" (or shall we say your bitterness toward seeing players succeed at other schools after getting a 2nd chance). I wish Cowart the best & hope he too succeeds at his next stop.
Like 2 trips to the BCS finale, but I guess you do still have those Herschel memories, right?
It is actually good because the 8 players are all solid O line members. We have the luxury of mixing & matching different combos, so it's been more a time of experimentation rather than someone not stepping up and the staff struggling to find 5 they can count on.
I guess we should just skip to the basketball season since Mr. Knowledge already has all the answers.
I think the rule should be re-evaluated. QBs who slide at the last moment are as guilty as anyone because they change the angle of contact and the DB has no time to adjust. If they would just slide earlier, I don't think we would even be having this conversation. The Auburn & Middle Tenn penalties were mirror images and neither were worthy of penalties, much less ejections (I didn't see the UGA penalty).
Good point JT. Let's also not forget that the UT QB missed most of the 3rd quarter when the Vols had siezed momentum. Dawgs were on the ropes in the 2nd half.
Sounds like you're the cancer on this site bass-boat or you're just too immature to take seriously.
You mention the 2 SEC east opponents........the one that really intrigues me is hosting UGA in Little Rock. As an Auburn fan, that run game Arky has is really impressive and I can see both teams trying to lay down the hammer. Figure out how to finish and I could easily see this one going the Hogs way.
