Alabama extended an offer to a pair of elite quarterbacks on Tuesday as it tries to recover from the flip of Jake Fromm to Georgia.

The first was to Hawaiian quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat QB for 2017.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder from Honolulu has been offered by several top programs, including Ole Miss and Texas A&M in the SEC. The Aggies offered Tagovailoa on Feb. 4. USC and UCLA are thought by many to be his top choices.

The Crimson Tide also offered Jake Bentley out of Opelika, Ala. Bentley is rated as the No. 6 pro-style quarterback and the fourth overall prospect in the state of Alabama for 2017, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound signal-caller unofficially visited Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.

He’s also been offered by other SEC schools in Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina and Vanderbilt so far among many other top programs.

Bentley is the son of South Carolina running backs coach Bobby Bentley.

Fromm, a four-star quarterback, was pledged to Alabama since October before he flipped to Georgia last Thursday.
