Need to make a top-10 selection, NFL general managers? You should probably look to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide have been a talent factory since before the days of Bear Bryant, producing more than 50 first round picks across both the AFL and NFL.

Alabama has had a player selected in the top five at eight different positions and in the top 10 at 12 positions. The only spots the Crimson Tide haven’t had a player selected in the top 10 are tight end, kicker and punter.

On Thursday, Amari Cooper will have a chance to become the highest wide receiver selection in school history. Mock drafts have him pegged anywhere between Nos. 4-7 in the draft, giving him a chance to beat out Julio Jones’ No. 6 overall selection from 2011.

A good number of the Crimson Tide’s highest selections have come under Nick Saban. Trent Richardson, Julio Jones, Marcell Dareus, Dee Milliner and Mark Barron were all drafted in the last six years as the highest-ever selection at their position for Alabama.
