Former Alabama All-American Mark Barron has a new NFL home.

The former Rams LB is signing a two-year, $12 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per multiple reports. He’ll also receive a $5.75 million signing bonus.

Barron was released by the Rams earlier this off-season with two years remaining on his contract. He’ll certainly boost the Steelers defense right away.

In eight-career NFL seasons, Barron has racked up 628 tackles, including nine sacks and eight INTs. He’s played for the Buccaneers and Rams. Tampa Bay originally drafted Barron with the No. 7 pick overall in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Mobile, Alabama, native was a four-year standout for Nick Saban. He was a two-time All-American and three-time All-SEC performer. Barron was a big part of Alabama winning national championships in 2009 and 2011.
