Alabama made it back to the mountaintop, but one of its defensive backs wasn’t even with the team since the College Football Playoff began.

Sophomore defensive back Tony Brown was suspended for the team’s matchups against Michigan State and Clemson. He was sent home beforehand for violating team rules, and a report indicated that Brown starting a fight in practice led to that decision.

Coach Nick Saban gave an update on Brown’s status at Tuesday’s Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Ala. He said Brown is still a member of the team, but he could miss more games as he’s “facing some future suspensions,” according to Marq Burnett of the Anniston Star.

If you remember, Saban has had a tough time getting what he wants out of Brown. In December, Saban famously tracked down the five-star prospect out of Beaumont, Texas, during the SEC Championship Game against Florida and gave him an earful on the sidelines.

Brown saw action in 13 games this past season, managing 16 tackles and 2 pass breakups.
