The spring yielded no answers for Auburn fans when it comes to who the team’s starting quarterback will be in the fall.

However, one former Tiger believes he knows who will emerge to lead the offense.

Receiver Ricardo Louis, who is getting set for the NFL Draft that starts in a little less than two weeks, told The Drive on ESPN 106.7 in Auburn this week that he thinks senior Jeremy Johnson will assume the role over redshirt sophomore Sean White and transfer John Franklin III.

“In my opinion, I think (Johnson will) end up getting the starting job,” Louis said. “Sean will be a great backup. It doesn’t matter who’s on the field honestly to me, I have faith in both of them to make plays.”

Johnson went 6-3 in nine starts last season and completed 60.5 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,054 yards, 10 TDs and 7 INTs.

Louis, a projected seventh-round pick by CBS Sports, says Johnson just needs to play within himself, relax and enjoy the game in order to play to his potential.

“They all have something that they do differently and they do it well,” Louis said. “With Jeremy, I think he just needed to go out there and have fun and be himself. He’s going to compete, he’s a competitor, he’s a winner, but once he’s having fun, he’s going to be great no matter what.”
