Former Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall could workout at two positions during the Tigers’ Pro Day on March 3.

Last month, Marshall performed exclusively at defensive back during Senior Bowl practices. Plagued by the ‘athlete playing quarterback’ label in Gus Malzahn’s offense after transferring from the JCUO ranks following a brief career at Georgia, Marshall’s passing numbers improved as a senior last fall.

In a recent interview with 247Sports, Marshall said he intended on throwing passes in front of scouts as well as showing off his talents in the secondary.

Marshall’s completion rate topped 60 percent this season and he finished second only to Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott in rushing yards as a quarterback.

He is one of 69 players from the SEC who received an NFL Combine invite. According to NFLDraftScout’s latest projection, Marshall is expected to be selected as a defensive back in the fifth round, but could improve his stock with a solid performance as a 6-foot-1, nearly 210-pound athlete.
