Coming into the 2018 season, the Auburn Tigers were as highly touted as almost anyone in the country.

Now, after two wins and a last-second loss to then-No. 12 LSU, No. 9 Auburn is fighting to remain in the AP Poll’s top ten.

Friday afternoon, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic appeared on “The Paul Finebaum Show” to share what he thinks needs to change for Auburn to remain as highly ranked as it is now.

As far as whether the Tigers even deserve the No. 9 ranking, Cubelic was skeptical.

“I don’t think I’d have Auburn in my top 10 right now, Paul,” he said. “There are still some issues on the offensive line. There are mistakes happening along the offensive line, and when I look at the film and I see your H-Back and one of your tailbacks are two most physical players on the football team, that’s a little bit disappointing to me.”

Cubelic continued in his analysis of Auburn’s offensive front, saying that the unit needs to impose more physicality on opponents in order for the Tigers to succeed.

“I think an offensive lineman should be mentioned as one of the more physical players on your offense, if not the most physical player. That has to change for this football team — has to change for this offense.”

This week, Auburn faces an Arkansas team that lost 44-17 to North Texas, and Cubelic finished in saying he thinks the Tigers will bounce back and correct some issues in their matchup against the Hogs.
