Jack Forsythe

Jack Forsythe was the first-ever football coach at the University of Florida, leading the Gators for three seasons from 1906-1908. He began his coaching career in 1904 at Florida State College, and upon arriving in Gainesville led the Gators to three straight winning seasons. Florida finished 5-3 in its inaugural season in 1906, then followed up that season with a 4-1-1 record in 1907 and a 5-2-1 record in 1908. He was 14-6-2 as the head coach at Florida. Forsythe passed away in 1957.
