Tom Lieb

Tom Lieb served as the head coach of the Florida Gators for five seasons from 1940-1945 (there was no 1943 season), recording just one winning season in that time. His 1944 Gators finished the year 4-3 but were 0-3 in the SEC that season. Lieb never had a team finish better than eighth in the conference standings, and was fired following the 1945 season. He left Florida with a 20-26-1 record as coach of the Gators and went on to serve as an assistant at the University of Alabama from 1946-1950. Lieb passed away in 1962 at the age of 62.
