Both the AP and Coaches’ polls were released this afternoon after an exciting opening weekend of college football.

The Florida Gators did not play their game against Idaho, due to numerous weather delays and unsafe field conditions. Despite not playing, the Gators remain on cusp of being in the AP Top 25 and Coaches’ polls.

In the AP poll, Florida received 49 votes, placing them at a hypothetical 29th as the fourth-highest team that received votes. As for the Coaches’ Poll, the Gators were slightly higher, coming in with the second-most votes only behind UCF.

A strong showing against Eastern Michigan later this week along with a loss by a team in the latter portion of the polls should push the Gators into the top 25.
