As expected, Florida’s Treon Harris won’t be playing quarterback anymore.

The rising junior will move to wide receiver for the spring, according to a report from GridironNow.com.

In nine starts last season, Harris averaged just 180.2 passing yards per game and failed to throw for 200 yards in six of the last seven starts under center.

Meanwhile, Harris only completed just 52.8 percent of his passes. The Gators offense struggled under Harris, only scoring two offensive touchdowns during the team’s three-game losing streak to finish the season.

Luke Del Rio and Austin Appleby will be joined by early enrollees Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask in a battle for the starting job.
