2014 Auburn vs Alabama

Alabama beat Auburn in the highest scoring Iron Bowl game in history, pulling out a 55-44 win. Amari Cooper set an Iron Bowl record with 224 receiving yards, blazing the path for the Crimson Tide’s comeback.

The Crimson Tide struggled in the first half thanks to three turnovers, all Blake Sims interceptions. After falling behind 33-21 early in the third quarter following Sims’ third pick, the Crimson Tide stormed back into the game, going on a 34-3 scoring run to race to the win.

The two teams combined for 1,167 yards. Auburn’s Nick Marshall was brilliant in his final regular season start for the Tigers, throwing for 456 yards and 3 TD. Sammie Coates went over 200 yards receiving, hauling in two long touchdowns as well. Sims rebounded from his rough start to go 20-for-27 passing for 312 yards and 4 TD. T.J. Yeldon paced Alabama on the ground with 127 yards and a touchdown.
