2014 Alabama vs Tennessee

Early on in this ballgame, Alabama looked poised to blowout Tennessee in Neyland Stadium.

Wide receiver Amari Cooper hauled in two touchdowns on the Crimson Tide’s first two drives, along with 155 receiving yards. Following Cooper’s touchdowns, Alabama’s offense added another 14 points by the beginning portions of the second quarter and things looked bleak for the Volunteers once again.

However, it was dual-threat quarterback Josh Dobbs that injected life back into the Tennessee offense. Despite burning his redshirt, it certainly didn’t look like he was playing in his first game of the season. Dobb’s utilized his dual-threat abilities and led Tennessee to 17 unanswered points.

Alabama’s two fourth-quarter fumbles kept the Vols in the game, but in the end, Alabama’s experience and physical offense proved to be too much for Butch Jones’ team and the Crimson Tide pulled out a tough 34-20 victory.

Alabama moves to 7-1 on the year, while Tennessee falls to just 3-5 overall and 0-4 in SEC play.
