2014 Presbyterian vs Mississippi

The Ole Miss Rebels coasted to a 48-0 rout of the Presbyterian Blue Hose in their final non-conference game of the 2014 season.

The Rebels amassed 640 yards of total offense, including 402 yards on the ground at better than 11 yards per carry on the day. Two Ole Miss players — Mark Dodson and Jordan Wilkins — rushed for more than 100 yards for the game, and the team ran for four touchdowns in the 48-point win. Quarterback Bo Wallace only played the first half, but still completed 11 of 15 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns to Vince Sanders.

Sanders caught a 66-yard touchdown pass on the second play of the game, asserting himself as the Rebels’ new No. 1 wideout in place of the injured Laquon Treadwell. He also caught a 23-yard touchdown in the first half, and Ole Miss led 35-0 at halftime before removing most of its starters.

The Ole Miss defense limited Presbyterian to just 156 total yards for the game, and just 67 yards through the air. The Rebels’ vaunted Landshark defense recorded its first shutout of the season in the win, and forced two more turnovers to extend their streak of games forcing a turnover to 33.

The Rebels improved to 8-2 on the season with the victory, and closed the non-conference portion of their schedule with a perfect 4-0 record.
