2014 South Carolina vs Auburn

Fifth-ranked Auburn intercepted a Hail Mary try in the corner of the end zone as time expired to hold off upset-minded South Carolina, 42-35, in an offensive shootout on the Plains.

The Tigers (6-1) rushed for 395 yards and five touchdowns, the eventual game-winning score coming on Nick Marshall’s zone read keeper from nine yards out with 11:22 left in the game. The Gamecocks (4-4) matched Auburn touchdown for touchdown throughout, but three empty trips to the red zone — including two turnovers — was too much to overcome.

South Carolina senior quarterback Dylan Thompson enjoyed a career-best outing on his birthday, throwing for 402 yards and five touchdowns.
