2014 Georgia vs Kentucky

After last week’s loss to Florida, Georgia was in dire straits. The Bulldogs’ SEC East title chances took a significant hit as they were no longer controlling their own destiny.

Heading into a tricky matchup on the road against Kentucky, Georgia responded about as good as it could have. The ‘Dawgs wasted no time to get on the scoreboard, thanks to a return TD by Isaiah McKenzie on the opening kickoff.

Kentucky kept things competitive during the first half, scoring 24 points off some big plays. However, UGA’s offense simply couldn’t be stopped this afternoon with the ‘Dawgs piling on the points.

Georgia finished with 63 points and nearly 600 yards of total offense. Hutson Mason threw four touchdowns on 13 completions and the duo of Nick Chubb and Sony Michel combined for 254 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

The Bulldogs are now 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC. They’ll face No. 3 ranked Auburn next week back in Athens, Ga.

Kentucky, on the other hand, loses its fourth SEC game in a row bringing the Cat’s record to just 5-5 overall and 2-5 within the conference.
