Justin Fields is the nation’s No. 1 prospect according to 247Sports. He’s got everything you could want in a college quarterback, and that’s exactly why he has offers from just about every major program in the country.

While his recruiting has already seen multiple plot twists along the way, the latest news surrounding the 6-3, 221-pound Kennesaw, Ga., native is that he could be favoring the in-state school, the Georgia Bulldogs.

As Kipp Adams, a reporter covering the Bulldogs for Dawgs247, pointed out, Fields has made visiting Athens a frequent event. Fields has visited Athens in back to back weeks and just witnessed the Bulldogs’ huge win over Mississippi State Saturday night.

At one time or another, several other schools have thought they had the star quarterback locked down, but Georgia’s momentum as the season progresses will only further its chance of landing the elite prospect.

One might question Fields’ willingness to walk into a situation where Georgia has clearly established their quarterback of the future in true freshman Jake Fromm, but as the Jacob Eason situation has shown us, these things aren’t always set in stone.
