The offseason hits continued for Georgia early Saturday morning after reserve linebacker Davin Bellamy was arrested on misdemeanor DUI and speeding charges according to the Athens-Clark County jail log, first reported by Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald.

The Bulldogs’ seventh arrest this offseason, Bellamy posted bond and was released at 6:22 a.m. A DUI usually constitutes an automatic two-game suspension, according to UGA’s student-athlete handbook.

Bellamy was slated to contribute as a redshirt freshman at outside linebacker this fall. He played snaps at defensive end during spring practice as well. Bellamy is the second Georgia defender arrested in the last week after lineman Jonathan Taylor was picked up by police Tuesday morning on felony assault.

Taylor was later dismissed by Georgia coach Mark Richt.
