Ben Cleveland has been one of the stalwarts of Georgia’s offensive line since he was inserted into the starting lineup late in the season against Auburn last year.

The redshirt sophomore suffered a leg injury in the second half of the Missouri win on Saturday and a report suggests he will be out several weeks. Cleveland suffered a fracture to his left fibula, the non-weight-bearing bone in his lower leg. The injury is not expected to require surgery or a cast but Cleveland is likely out a minimum of four weeks, Jake Rowe of 247 Sports reported. He’s started every game this season at right guard. Justin Shaffer and Solomon Kindley are among the players who could replace Cleveland.

A 4-star recruit and former U.S. Army All-American, Cleveland was among the players offensive line coach Sam Pittman focused on in his plan to upgrade the offensive line to a bigger unit. Cleveland is listed at 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds.

Georgia was already dealing with an injury to left tackle Andrew Thomas, who made the trip to Missouri, but was limited.

The Bulldogs have depth along the offensive line, but like many other positions for the Bulldogs, it is talented, but inexperienced. Now Pittman and Kirby Smart will be juggling positions to get a healthy unit on the field for Tennessee this week.
