The Georgia Bulldogs still have a bowl game to play in 2014, but head coach Mark Richt revealed a bit of news Saturday night that will have fans looking ahead to 2015.

According to a story written by Athens Online, three of Georgia’s top draft-eligible underclassmen — linebacker Leonard Floyd, offensive tackle John Theus and wideout Malcolm Mitchell — will all return for the 2015 season. Richt announced their plans to return at Georgia’s annual senior gala Saturday night, and according to the story a team spokesman confirmed the announcement.

Richt also claimed fellow linebacker Jordan Jenkins will “most likely” return for the 2015 season.

Floyd, projected by many to be a first round pick in the NFL Draft next spring, led Georgia with 6.0 sacks and was third on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss. Jenkins was third on the team with 66 tackles and second on the team with 4.5 sacks and 9.0 tackles for loss.

Theus is a third-year starter who started all 12 games at left tackle this season. Mitchell pulled in 28 catches for 229 yards and three touchdowns in eight games in his first season back from an ACL injury in 2013. He finished third on the team in catches and fourth in yards.

Junior tailback Todd Gurley is still likely to enter the draft following his own ACL injury last month, but according to Richt he’ll be the only UGA underclassmen to bypass a return to Athens and declare for the NFL Draft.

College underclassmen have until Jan. 15 to either declare for the draft or commit to a return to school.
