Many in Baton Rouge are on pins and needles waiting for Ed Orgeron to fill out his coaching staff.

However, these individuals will have to exercise a bit of patience:

On Sunday, Orgeron intimated that he won’t completely fill out his coaching staff before LSU plays Louisville in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31.

There are a few logical reasons for this decision. For one, Orgeron will likely be putting an immense amount of focus on bowl preparations — in addition to recruiting.

Secondly — and perhaps most importantly — Orgeron is waiting for some coaches to become available, after their respective teams end their seasons.

Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian are likely on the top of the proverbial list. Orgeron will likely wait as long as needs to in order to secure the services of one of these two for the vacant offensive coordinator position.
