No. 9 LSU plays host to Eastern Michigan on Saturday in Death Valley as the Tigers look to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Leonard Fournette and the LSU running attack ranks seventh in the nation, while the Heisman Trophy hopeful ranks third in rushing in the nation with 631 yards and eight trips to the end zone.

But as potent as the Tigers offense has been to start the year, LSU coach Les Miles is equally as impressed with that of his next opponent.

During his weekly radio show on Wednesday night, Miles praised Eastern Michigan and the offense that’s coming to Baton Rouge in hopes of pulling off the upset.

“The team will have to be ready to play and committed to face a team that will come in and be ready to do its best,” said Miles, who indicated that the Eagles have posted 400 yards of total offense in three of their four games this season.

Here are some other tidbits from the Miles radio segment:

  • Miles credited the Syracuse crowd and technical issues with the penalties LSU accrued last week. LSU leads the SEC with 9.3 penalties per game.
  • On the LSU receivers dropping four passes vs. Syracuse: “”We’re working with the guys that dropped passes individually … And then after we go individually, we then work as a group, and they are allowed to exhibit their skill.”
  • Miles played college football at the University of Michigan. Ann Arbor is just about seven miles away from Eastern Michigan’s campus in Ypsilanti.
  • A fan asked Miles how he likes to celebrate a win: “Ideally, I would be spending time with my kids and my wife,” but added he likes watching SportsCenter after a win.
  • On Herschel Walker calling Fournette a better college player than he was: “I think that is a tremendous compliment for Herschel Walker to pay to him. Only he could do it.”
