LSU emphatically bounced back from their home loss to Mississippi State a week ago, thumping New Mexico State 63-7. Brandon Harris lit a fire under the offense, as they exploded for seven straight touchdown drives once the freshman entered the game. As a result, they were rewarded by the voters in both the Amway Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 poll.

The Tigers rose to No. 15 in both polls, up three spots in the coaches poll up from No. 18, and two spots from No. 17 in the AP poll. LSU travels to face No. 5 Auburn on Oct. 4.
