LSU junior cornerback Jalen Collins is turning pro a year early, but secondary mate Jalen Mills is not, sources told The Times-Picayune on Sunday.

Mills is one of several Tigers who asked for a pre-draft grade from the NFL’s Advisory Committee and their return answer was not favorable. This is the first year the NFL will implement its new grading system for college players, eliminating two categories and leaving athletes with a first round, second round or return to school response.

Mills recorded 54 tackles this season along with an interception and a fumble recovery. There are no reports indicating Mills’ mid-summer arrest for assault and battery have influenced the advisory committee’s grade.
