As National Signing Day gets closer and closer, the picture of a program’s class gets clearer and clearer.

Last-minute offers are shot out as a means to account for needs. The recruitments of those big fish also narrow down after literally years of pursuing. Recruits are also prone to a change of heart — for a myriad of reasons.

Although he’s been committed to Mississippi State since this past March, 3-star WR Monterio Hunt has announced his decommitment on Twitter:

Hunt initially chose the Bulldogs over offers from Memphis and South Alabama. The time of the decommitment is rather fascinating.

Hunt doesn’t have any other visits currently set up. He interestingly enough also has extensive ties to the program. His grandfather (Larry Gillard) and uncle (Michael Haddix) both played at Mississippi State.
