CFP committee still loves Mississippi State despite loss
Mississippi State would be part of the four-team playoff field if the season ended today.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 1 in the first three College Football Playoff committee polls, fell to No. 4 after losing 25-20 at Alabama.
We are fourth in tonight's @CFBPlayoff rankings. Everything we want is still there for the taking. Everything. #HailState

Coach Dan Mullen, quarterback Dak Prescott and the rest of the team have two SEC games left, at home against Vanderbilt and at Ole Miss. The Bulldogs are a 29.5-point favorite against the Commodores. Win the Egg Bowl and the team will finish the regular season 11-1, 7-1 in the SEC.
If Alabama wins out also, the Tide will represent the SEC West in the conference championship game.
Will that be enough to claim a playoff spot with TCU, Ohio State and Baylor (ranked No. 5-7) all competing for that No. 4 seed?
For now, the answer is yes.
