Dak Prescott did some amazing things as a three-year starter with Mississippi State, finishing with 114 total touchdowns while going down as one of the greatest SEC quarterbacks of all-time.

It doesn’t seem as if he has any plans to slow down at the professional level, either. Through his first five NFL games as the Dallas Cowboys’ starter, the fourth-round draft pick has completed 69.0 percent of his pass attempts for 1,239 yards and four touchdowns, adding another three scores on the ground. More importantly, he’s led his team to a 4-1 start.

But what sticks out the most to this point is his ability to take care of the football. In Sunday’s 28-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Prescott lost his first fumble of the season, but extended his NFL rookie record to 155 passes without an interception to start his career.

Tony Romo, who has been the franchise’s starting quarterback since 2006 but has been dealing with back injury, has never gone five games without tossing a pick throughout his entire career.

Prescott currently ranks 4th in the league in completion percentage, 7th in yards per attempt (7.99) and 8th in quarterback rating (101.5). He also sits pretty at 2nd overall with an 83.9 Total QBR.

It’s going to make for one heck of a decision once Romo returns from injury.
