Former Kansas State defensive back Kaleb Prewett will be transferring to Mizzou, according to a report from PowerMizzou.com.

The former Missouri prep star is a big land on the second time through for new Tigers coach Barry Odom. Prewett considered playing for Mizzou coming out of high school in 2014, but chose to play at Kansas State instead.

Prewett played in eight games in 2015, accumulating 49 tackles for the Wildcats.

He saw action as a true freshman in 2014, recording an appearance in six contests.

Prewett will have to sit out the 2016 season per NCAA transfer rules, but should be ready to roll with the Tigers as a part of the 2017 active roster. He should have two years of eligibility remaining.
