It’s been a rough first year for Missouri head coach Barry Odom.

Coaching his alma mater, his Tigers are now 2-7 after Saturday’s 31-21 loss to South Carolina.

The Tigers have yet to win a game in SEC play, and could be in line for their worst season in over two decades. Of course, it will take time for Odom to get his system and culture fully integrated — as well as bringing in his recruits.

After the loss, South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp consoled Odom on the field — offering him some words of advice.

Remember, Muschamp had a rocky tenure in Gainesville during his time as head coach of Florida. His message to Odom was won rooted in both perspective and positivity.
