Anthony Averett became the latest move to a busy day for the Las Vegas Raiders defense as the former Alabama cornerback found a new NFL home.

Averett has left the Baltimore Ravens and became the third cornerback of the day for Las Vegas. He agreed to a reported one-year, $4.5 million deal.

Though he has dealt with injuries, Averett is coming off a career year in Baltimore. The former fourth round pick picked off 3 passes and defended 11 passes in 13 starts.

Here’s a portion of his bio from Alabama:

Carried his experience from his junior season into the starting corner spot during his senior year … collected 48 tackles, including four for a loss (-23 yards), and tied for second on the team with eight pass breakups … added one interception with a return of 30 yards to his totals … registered 32 of his tackles against the pass to lead the Tide … named one of the UA coaching staff’s defensive players of the week for his performances against Fresno State and at Mississippi State.
