If you’ve been paying attention to the SEC heading into 2015, you’ll notice the lack of elite quarterbacks dominating storylines.

But that’s all going to change in the future, specifically for the 2016 recruiting class.

Seventeen quarterbacks will compete in Oregon in a five-day event to name the final Elite 11. It starts on June 5.

Of the Elite 11 finalists, five are committed to SEC programs, with two others looking the SEC’s way. Georgia commit Jacob Eason, Ole Miss commit Shea Patterson and LSU commit Feleipe Franks are the favorites in this competition, but South Carolina commit Brandon McILwain has been one of the fastest rising stars in the country.

It all makes for a great storyline, with the event being saturated by SEC quarterback commits.
