Our good friends at Athlon Sports have ranked college football’s ‘Top 25 non-conference games for 2015’ and their list is littered with several robust matchups involving SEC teams.

Highlighted by four must-watch games during an exciting opening weekend, more than a third of college football’s top non-conference tilts this season will feature an SEC team.

Many of these games, including a couple annual rivalry battles involving nationally-ranked teams, will affect the College Football Playoff picture.

Facing the league’s toughest non-conference schedule this fall, South Carolina is the only SEC team featured twice in Athlon’s ranking — vs. North Carolina (Charlotte) in the opener and the regular-season finale vs. Clemson on Nov. 28.
