The SEC has the best fans in the country, and one Auburn fan has gone above and beyond to support the Tigers during his lifetime.

Buddy Davidson attended his 659th consecutive Auburn game Saturday, which is a school record according to the Auburn athletics department. Considering teams play 12-14 games per year depending on their postseason status, that is a remarkable streak extending back more than two decades.

Here are some other streaks from around the SEC that were extended or ended this weekend:

  • Arkansas:  The Razorbacks rushed for 285 yards in a crushing overtime loss to Texas A&M, marking the fourth straight game the team has rushed for at least 200 yards. The loss to A&M was also the Razorbacks’ 14th straight loss to an SEC opponent, which is the longest active streak in the conference.
  • Auburn: The Tigers extended their home winning streak to 13 games dating back to 2012 with a 45-17 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
  • Georgia: The Bulldogs won their fifth straight game over the Tennessee Volunteers with a 35-32 victory between the Hedges on Saturday, marking their longest winning streak in the history of the series. Georgia center David Andrews made his 31st consecutive start in the victory.
  • Kentucky: The Wildcats snapped a 17-game losing streak to SEC opponents with a 17-7 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, ending what was the longest losing streak in the conference.
  • LSU: The Tigers won their 49th straight non-conference regular season game Saturday with a 63-7 win over New Mexico State. Head coach Les Miles remains unbeaten in such games since arriving at LSU.
  • Missouri: The Tigers won their seventh consecutive road game dating back to last season with a thrilling 21-20 victory over South Carolina on Saturday.
  • Ole Miss: The Rebels forced at least one turnover for the 27th straight game dating back to 2012 in a 24-3 win over Memphis Saturday night.
  • Tennessee: The Volunteers avoided a shutout in an SEC contest for the 251st straight time dating back to the 1994 season, but still lost 35-32 loss to Georgia on Saturday. In a quirkier streak, Tennessee has also lost 10 straight coin tosses when playing on the road.
  • Texas A&M: Junior defensive back Sam Moeller was the Aggies’ 12th Man for the 18th straight game during Texas A&M’s overtime win past Arkansas.

And outside the SEC, defending national champion Florida State extended the nation’s best win streak to 20 games with a comeback victory on the road against North Carolina State Saturday.
