Sports Illustrated had eight writers predict all 38 bowl games, and there was a strong consensus when it came to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Among Andy Staples, Pete Thamel, Thayer Evans, Zac Ellis, Martin Rickman, Lindsay Schnell, Brian Hamilton and Ben Glicksman, only one, Glickman, predicted that Ohio State will beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

Meanwhile, Ellis and Hamilton were the only ones who like Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

As for the other SEC teams:
The only unanimous pick was Auburn over Wisconsin
They were evenly split on South Carolina vs. Miami, Arkansas vs. Texas, and Florida vs. East Carolina
Only Staples, Evans and Glickman liked Texas A&M over West Virginia
Similarly, Staples, Ellis and Glickman prefer Ole Miss against TCU
All but Ellis liked LSU over Notre Dame
Thamel, Rickman and Hamilton were the only ones who like Louisville over Georgia
All but Staples, Rickman and Glickman picked Mississippi State against Georgia Tech
Only Ellis and Schnell predicted Minnesota over Missouri
Everyone except Hamilton and Glickman picked Tennessee over Iowa

Overall, the majority likes the SEC to 7-2, with three too close to call.
