Gamecocks' 2015 season opener vs North Carolina moved to Thursday night

South Carolina’s 2015 neutral site season opener against region foe and former ACC rival North Carolina has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 3 according to Andrew Carter of The News & Observer.

The matchup was originally scheduled for the first Saturday of September in Charlotte, but now gets a prime-time slot to kick-off the college football season.

UNC's season-opener against South Carolina next season has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 3. Will be on "primetime national television."

South Carolina’s 2013 opener against the Tar Heels was also a Thursday night showdown, a 27-10 win by the Gamecocks in Columbia.
