Former South Carolina and current Tennessee Titans kicker Ryan Succop made history on Monday Night Football in Nashville.

Succop set the NFL record for most consecutive field goals made under 50 yards when he drilled his 47th in a row in a game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Making 47 consecutive field goals of any length is a pretty impressive accomplishment in itself.

When Succop played at South Carolina from 2005 to 2008, he hit 49 of his 69 career field goal attempts.

The Titans were trailing the Colts 19-15 midway through the third quarter, and Succop had scored all of Tennessee’s points. So, as of this post’s publish time, Succop had made 51 in a row under 50 yards.
