South Carolina consistently improved throughout Will Muschamp’s first season in Columbia.

Relying upon a litany of youngsters, the Gamecocks appear primed to have a bright future going forward.

USC did miss one vital cog in the defensive unit: Skai Moore.

The linebacker led the team in tackles for three straight seasons — and was an All-Conference performer in 2015. He was forced to miss this past season with a herniated disc in his neck.

Eligible for the 2017 NFL Draft, Moore divulged the decision on his future next year during halftime of South Carolina’s basketball game against Ole Miss – as the entire team was honored at the break:

This is a significant turn of events for the Gamecocks. Not only is Moore a tremendously gifted athlete, he’s also exceptional from a leadership standpoint.
