Three-star WR Kiel Pollard announced his commitment to Arkansas back in September, but now he’s changed his mind, and he’ll be heading to South Carolina this fall.

Pollard visited Columbia on January 19, and the Gamecocks’ coaching staff and team made the right impression.

“I think I fit in good with the players. Everything was comfortable and I felt good there,” Pollard said. “I sat down with Coach [Bryan] McClendon and he told me everything about the offense. They told me I could play inside or outside receiver. It doesn’t matter to me as long as I’m catching balls.”

McClendon was hired by new South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp to serve as the co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach.
